WHAT IS LASER CUTTING AND ENGRAVING?

Our laser machines can both cut and engrave depending on the desired application and finish. Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to cut materials. Laser cutting works by directing a focused laser beam onto the material, which then either melts, burns or vaporises away leaving an edge with a high-quality surface finish. A vector-based file is the basis for the cutting process. During the process of laser engraving, the laser processes a shape, graphic or picture (e.g. a JPG or PNG) on a wide range of materials. The laser moves horizontally along the individual lines of the engraving, and the material being engraved is removed point by point, line by line.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF LASER CUTTING AND ENGRAVING?

Laser cutting is particularly effective in many areas where rapid production is essential. Laser cutters make it easy to cut and engrave a wide range of materials very accurately. Limits and constraints imposed by traditional manufacturing processes are removed through laser cutting, which allows freedom of design and quantities, for example, with laser cutters, no cutting die is required, making it more cost-effective in many instances.
